Comrades,
The casual leave availability in operative offices in Central Government is only 8 days for a whole year. Whereas the administrative offices of the Central Government remains closed on Saturdays. The argument that the weekly working hours for the operative/admin offices are equal is notwithstanding as the many of the family matters have to be kept in abeyance by the employees of the operative offices and their requirement for casual leave for the operative office staff is justified this way. For each and every reasons the operative offices staff has to take casual leave. This matter should be taken up with the government for a favourable consideration to increase the elibility of casual leave or make the saturday as essential service working day and giving off on some other day. The working hours could be made at par with Admin offices. The trade unions must think very positively for this cause.
